Music Scene: Hip Hop Artist Tech N9ne Wows Crowd at Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool
Even if you’ve never heard of rapper Tech N9ne, you have to respect what he’s built from the ground up. Straight out of Kansas City, he came to Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool NY as part of his ‘Asin9ne Tour 2022.’
Spanning cities from all over the United States, Tech N9ne brings with him raw, gritty rhymes over hypnotic beats and an energy that gets the crowd moving. The show in Liverpool started with Strange Music (Tech’s own record lable) artist ¡Mayday! warming up the crowd, followed by Joey Kool and X Raided. They all individually held their own weight, performing some of their hit songs and making the crowd hype.
When Tech N9ne took the stage, you could feel the energy from the fans. As he is known for his cult-like following, a majority of his fans follow him from show-to-show, from Kansas City to Central New York, singing and chanting along in sync.
Tech N9ne tore down the show, performing numerous hits and verses from his enormous catalog of music. His current hit single “Face Off,” (featuring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on his first ever rap performance on a song), is getting airplay all over the world—including Utica’s own The Heat 95.5 FM/Utica Phoenix Radio. All in all it was a great show at a great venue.
